Job Posting: Executive & Organizational Development Coordinator

Working under the supervision of the Executive Director, the successful candidate for the Executive & Organizational Development Coordinator provides comprehensive support to OCUFA’s Board of Directors, Executive, and committees, as well as staff-led projects, workshops, and conferences under the direction of then executive Director. This position combines administrative, policy, research, and communications responsibilities, requiring strong organizational skills, political acuity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide staff support to OCUFA’s Board of Directors, Executive, and assigned committees, ensuring effective preparation, facilitation, and follow-up of meetings.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of meetings, workshops, conferences, and other governance events, where required.
- Prepare meeting packages and related documentation, liaising with colleagues to ensure timely and accurate production and distribution of materials.
- Draft speaking notes, correspondence, reports, and briefing notes, as assigned.
- Assist, in collaboration with other staff, with drafting reports, backgrounders, policy briefs, and other written materials that advance OCUFA’s priorities.
- Provide administrative, communications, policy, and research support for specific initiatives, projects, or campaigns, in collaboration with other staff as required.
- Support the coordination of special projects, events, and initiatives as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time, as organizational needs evolve, ensuring responsibilities remain aligned with workload and areas of expertise.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a graduate degree, and 5 years’ experience within advocacy organizations, labour unions, research institutes, public sector agencies, or professional associations, (or the equivalent combination of education and work experience).
- Demonstrated experience providing governance, policy, or administrative support within a membership-based or advocacy organization.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to prepare materials for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of the postsecondary education sector, labour relations, or public policy environment considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Flexibility and political judgment to respond to changing organizational needs.

Salary range
- CA$105,864.76 per year
Based at the OCUFA office in Toronto, Ontario. Occasional evening, weekend work, and travel will be required.
