OCUFA to host London town hall on austerity and higher education

On Wednesday, February 6, 2013, OCUFA will be co-presenting a town hall discussion on austerity and higher education at Western University. We invite all London-area students, staff, and faculty to join us for an evening of discussion and analysis.

Speakers include:

  • Jeff Tennant – Associate Professor, Department of French Studies, UWO
  • Alison Hearn – Associate Professor, Faculty of Information & Media Studies, UWO
  • Desiree Lamoureaux – VP Finance, Society of Graduate Studies, UWO
  • Gabe Elias – President, PSAC Local 610
  • Don Abelson – Professor, Department of Political Science, UWO and President of UWOFA

The event will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in room 2316, Somerville House, University of Western Ontario. More information is also available on the event’s Facebook page.

At 11:00 a.m. the same day, OCUFA will be releasing new polling data on how Eastern Ontario views austerity and higher education. All members of the London community are invited to attend. It will be held in room 2104, Elborn College, University of Western Ontario.
