The Windsor University Faculty Association has set a strike deadline of Wednesday, October 19 at 12:01 am. Three days of mediation have been scheduled starting next Monday.
“Progress has been made at the negotiating table, with both sides making compromises, reports WUFA President Brian E. Brown. “The administration, however, continues to insist on a radical restructuring of the pension plan.”
The talks at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology will be in conciliation this week. Faculty there have been working without a contract for a year and a half.
